Dementia and Alzheimer’s Support Group

This gathering is designed to provide emotional support and practical information for family members and caregivers of those with memory loss and dementia. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, give and receive mutual support and exchange coping skills with one another. In addition, they will be able to learn from a trained expert about enhancing their coping and communication skills.

I've recently become close with Abe and Frank, two older guys in my neighborhood. At 90 and 88 respectively, they’re not the typical age of my other friends. At first I wasn’t sure if it was friendship. Maybe they were just humoring me or passing the time. Why would old people want to be friends with me, a 35-year-old?
