The Grammy, Tony and Emmy award-winner and nominee has created some of the most iconic music ever sung by Earth Wind and Fire, Patti LaBelle, The Pointer Sisters, Pet Shop Boys, James Brown, Bonnie Raitt, Aretha and more. Her hits include Boogie Wonderland, September, Neutron Dance, and the theme song to TV’s hit comedy, Friends, among hundreds of others.
Additionally, she is the co-author of the Tony Award winning Broadway smash The Color Purple, which has recently received 13 Ovation Award nominations for its Los Angeles production.
