Allee Willis’ “Badeya, Baby” - A Happening

An entertainer in the truest sense of the word, Allee’s consummate party throwing skills have been singled out by PEOPLE MAGAZINE which said ” …Invitations to Allee Willis’ ultra–exclusive….parties are the campiest, hottest tickets in LA.”

The Grammy, Tony and Emmy award-winner and nominee has created some of the most iconic music ever sung by Earth Wind and Fire, Patti LaBelle, The Pointer Sisters, Pet Shop Boys, James Brown,  Bonnie Raitt, Aretha and more. Her hits include Boogie Wonderland, September, Neutron Dance, and the theme song to TV’s hit comedy, Friends, among hundreds of others.

Additionally, she is the co-author of the Tony Award winning Broadway smash The Color Purple, which has recently received 13 Ovation Award nominations for its Los Angeles production.

All of Allee’s unbridled joy and spirit is revealed at “Badeya, Baby!” her “happening” at the NOHO Performing Arts Center where she mounts her “one-woman” show with scores of people in it, prizes, sing-alongs to her greatest hits, foot massages and the best food you’ve ever tasted imported directly from the motor city, Willis’ home town!!!

This is an evening not to be missed … it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen or been to before!

New Old Friends

I've recently become close with Abe and Frank, two older guys in my neighborhood. At 90 and 88 respectively, they’re not the typical age of my other friends. At first I wasn’t sure if it was friendship. Maybe they were just humoring me or passing the time. Why would old people want to be friends with me, a 35-year-old?
