“You have all changed my life by helping me in so many things, I don’t know where to start. Thank you for 8 years of fun and enchantment!” says Playhouse veteran K.T. See your kids make friends, gain self-confidence and have tons of fun as they act, sing, play theatre games, work with costumes and make-up and are featured in an amazing fully-staged play created just for them. A 50s musical! An American Idol parody! SciFi! Fantasy! Always an original production. Kids - shy and want to express yourself? Done every musical there is and want something new? Santa Monica Playhouse Adventures in Acting is the place for you. Now celebrating 43 years of theatre workshops for youth, the internationally acclaimed Playhouse process combines the fun and excitement of working as a team to create and perform a brand new play with the joy and fulfillment of a stress-free, creative, arts-oriented environment where working actors share their love of the craft with young people in all stages of development. Improved study habits, teamwork skills and communication are welcome by-products of this unique program, developed with more than 25,000 students. New Old Friends

I've recently become close with Abe and Frank, two older guys in my neighborhood. At 90 and 88 respectively, they’re not the typical age of my other friends. At first I wasn’t sure if it was friendship. Maybe they were just humoring me or passing the time. Why would old people want to be friends with me, a 35-year-old?
