School Choice in Los Angeles: What’s a Parent to Do?

URL: http://www.jewishjournal.com/community_calendar/item/school_choice_in_los_angeles_whats_a_parent_to_do

The range of school options available to families in Los Angles can feel overwhelming—magnet schools and charters, public schools and private/independent.  Trying to sort out the choices is a challenging proposition.

Kirsten Hanson-Press, Executive Director of the Parents Education League of Los Angeles, along with Rebecca George, a founder of Los Angeles’ City School, will disuss the options.

The Parents League is a non-profit association of parents dedicated to providing access to comprehensive, current and objective information regarding schools and education in Los Angeles.

This program is presented by The Sholem Community, a progressive and secular family tradition for over 60 years, offering adult activities and a Jewish cultural education for children 4 -14.
