No one turned away for lack of funds

For three years, singer Heather Klein has worked together with communities, local artists and musicians to present “Hungry for Yiddish; A Mitzvah Project.” Several klezmer bands, Yiddish singers, classical, and world musicians pitch in to present a series of concerts to raise money and awareness for the homeless and hungry population. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, which provides hunger relief in the Los Angeles County.

Klezmer dance party with The Shpil and Yiddish dance maven Bruce Bierman.
Bruce will lead joyous dances to The Shpil, one of the hottest Klezmer bands in L.A.
Claire Bergen (violin), Erin Armstrong (clarinet),
Isaac Schankler (accordion), John Graves (bass), and T. J. Troy (percussion).
