Three parts sugar and one part spice, COMING OUT KINKY: A GROWN UP STORY follows one adventurous woman’s curious exploration of her sexuality. Written and performed by Jean Franzblau. Jean started off as a kid performer in Hollywood, Florida. After UCLA and a summer of study at the Neighborhood Playhouse, she was cast as Libby in Neil Simon’s I Ought to Be in Pictures at the Long Beach Playhouse. She also won the part of Darcy in the NBC telefilm Her Last Chance with Jenna Elfman and Kelly Martin. Jean’s YouTube film, Internet Dating was her debut as both a writer/producer and star. She has been developing Coming Out Kinky: A Grown Up Story for over three years and is excited to be part of the arts and culture scene in her beloved Santa Monica. Developed and directed by Karen Aschenbach, back at Santa Monica Playhouse with her fourth production. Karen has worked internationally in film, television and theater; favorite productions include the solo show Ripe - which was warmly reviewed by the LA Times last year - and Mrs. Cage - which was a LA Times Critic’s Choice. Karen works with performing artists one-on-one and in her “Crafting Your Craft” seminars. Lighting designed by Ben Pilat, Technical Director George J. Vennes III. Produced by COK Productions and the Santa Monica Playhouse Benefit Series
