Thursday, Dec. 7:
Sinai Temple in Westwood hosts a solidarity event titled "Israel Under Siege: What the Jewish Community Needs to Know" from 6-8 p.m. The function includes remarks by Consul General of Israel Yuval Rotem and a discussion on current affairs in Israel featuring panelists Dr. Steven Spiegel, Israeli Knesset member Dan Naveh and Milken Director of Special Projects Yoav Ben-Horin. The event is sponsored by The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles' Jewish Community Relations Committee, the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee, with special assistance from the Israeli Consulate General and in conjunction with almost two dozen local co-sponsors.

Hadassah Southern California's Metro Area Resource Center and the Los Angeles Nurses' Council will present Education Day 2000 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., featuring Middle East expert Yoav Ben-Horin discussing "Israel and the United States: What's Our Relationship After the Elections?" Wed., Dec. 13
Marlene Adler Marks, the Jewish Journal's senior columnist, will moderate "After the Election: American Foreign Policy and the Crisis in Israel," a discussion with Middle East expert Dr. Robert J. Lieber, professor of government and foreign service at Georgetown University. The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Bess P. Maltz Center at Temple Emanuel in Beverly Hills.
