He makes unique dreidels, and he makes them out of clay

(Page 2 - Previous Page)

Tamara Baskin, an Israeli artist based in Florida, makes colorful dreidels from fused glass. Inside are sparkly pieces of dichroic glass, a special kind of glass developed by NASA. The dreidels are shaped as circles, squares and hearts. The squares offer the fairest game. The circular dreidels tend to land on the same letter every time. $65.

Quest Gifts & Design aims to fashion dreidels that are "reflective of old world craftsmanship." They are made from pewter, plated in 24-karat gold and painted with enamel. The paints are hand-mixed in New York, so patterns and color shades vary. $77.

Toycrafter dreidels are reminiscent of old-fashioned wooden toys. They are well-balanced and easy for kids to spin. The underside of some dreidels even include instructions on how to play the game. $3.50.
