(THEATER)
A classic play never goes out of style, as exemplified by writer Alfred Uhry's, "Driving Miss Daisy." The 1987 original off-Broadway production, for which Uhry won the Pulitzer Prize the following year, starred Dana Ivey and Morgan Freeman. The play is hitting the stage again, this time starring four-time Emmy Award-winning Michael Learned as Daisy Werthan. Humorous and warm, the play delves deep into the decades-long relationship between an elderly Jewish woman and her African American chauffeur. 8 p.m., through Feb. 17. $37-$45. La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd., La Mirada. (562) 944-9801 or (714) 994-6310. http://lamiradatheatre.com.
