Keren's Corner
Give Them a Reason to Give Thanks
According to the Valley Interfaith
Council, the number of needy people in the San Fernando Valley
is 129,000 – and growing. Through the council's 19 area food
pantries, you can help the working poor have a happy Thanksgiving this year. While council pantries are closed on Thanksgiving Day, they will be open in the days prior and welcome donations of food, money and grocery store gift cards. Volunteer drivers to pick up and deliver Meals on Wheels to seniors and the disabled throughout the month of November are particularly needed.
(818) 718-6460, ext. 3014 or
3016.
