I am currently reading Lily White by Susan Isaacs.  I read The Plot Against America by Phillip Roth several years ago; I think it is his best novel. Any comments would be appreciated. I would also find anything on Bellow to be of interest.

Angels and Devils pits the Illuminati forces ( science) against those of the Vatican ( religion)——-  A conflict that has historical and contemporary energy, and exemplified by the spate of recent books decrying the notion of G-d and those defending such.

The Illuminati are central to the plots of many novels. Prominent examples include: The Illuminatus! Trilogy by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson, Dan Brown’s Angels & Demons, The Fallen Angels by Susannah Kells & Bernard Cornwell, and The Illuminati by Larry Burkett. ( source Wikipedia)

I am currently reading the book of Psalms. It uplifts my spirit when I am down and I can learn from the patriachs how they praise and worship G_D in the beauty of holiness.

I have started a Jewish Book Club here in Portland. I’m looking for new members and for book ideas. We read “The Septembers of Shiraz” very very sad but accurate, and Etgar Keret as well as other books.

Hello- I hope you will consider reading Full Circle, available online at Amazon and Barnes & N. Briefly: Recently divorced and trying to adjust to a new community, Diane finds herself torn between love for her sons and love for something she had never imagined.
I am also author of two non-fiction works of Jewish interest—Between the Lines and In Other Words.
