Krista Tippett teeters with religion and politics

Posted by Book Buzz

ALTTEXT In an interview with Pat Morrison, Krista Tippett discusses her new book, “Speaking of Faith: Why Religion Matters—and How to Talk About It.” In the interview, Tippett comments on John McCain and Barack Obama’s religious views and how religion has or hasn’t played a role in their campaign trail. Morrison and Tippett also talk about the history of separation between church and state and the differences between spirituality and religion.

Tippett, most know for her national radio show, Speaking of Faith, presents ideas about belief, meaning, ethics and religion. Here are a few recommendations, Days of Awe with Sharon Brous, an amazing interview with Elie Wiesel and A Simple Buddhist Monk with the Dalai Lama.

Tippett will appear at Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills on October 23rd, Radical Conversations in a Reluctant Metropolis.

If you attend the event or have read her book, let’s hear your thoughts.
