The logistics are absolutely pathetic.  We spent over an hour trying to park and finally went home.  Whoever set this up, thanks for wasting 2 hours of my time.

Strong words from Cong. Sherman!

Cong. Sherman delivered many on-point, well tailored soliloquies.  Cong. Berman, while less eloquent, was extremely direct.  Mark Reed was unrelenting, and never failed to note when his compatriots were talking in circles around one another.  All in all, a very interesting discussion on many important topics, with great points made all around.  I look forward to further such debates in the future!

The debate was in Temple Judea’s sanctuary. Sherman came across as mean-mouthed.  At times he raised his voice unnecessarily for bragging rights.  He claims he disagreed with Obama THREE times. (Whoop-te-doo)  The crowd belonged to Berman, though.  He came across as a dedicated politician and the house was largely Democrat.  They drank his Kool-aid.  Mark Reed made good points, like how Berman and Sherman’s DECADES in office haven’t helped the Valley.  He pointed out how even now, the debate with Berman and Sherman was “me, me, me.”  Mark supports industry that brings jobs to the Valley, unwavering support for Israel and an economic policy that promotes growth.  I like Mark’s message.

1. Sherman taking credit for the HOV lane on 405 strained credulity.
2. Iran:  Berman pushed the sanctions bill that the WH did not want to be enacted, either separately or as part of the overall DOD bill.
3. Libya:  Sherman looked like a clown after he was proven wrong.
4. “Bureaucratese” lingo: Sherman is good at it and has a deep voice to use language the average person does not understand. Like MARK-UP.
5. Sherman WRITES LETTERS while Berman FORMULATES POLICIES AFFECTING FOREIGN POLICY, NATIONAL SECURITY, IMMIGRATION and ECONOMIC ISSUES.  Meanwhile, Sherman is STILL WRITING LETTERS—-while Howard IS ACCOMPLISHING IMPORTANT THINGS FOR THE NATION AND THE DISTRICT.
