One of the most anticipated shows returning to the air this fall is Showtime's acclaimed drama Homeland, which had an uneven second season after a brilliant beginning. That premiere happens on Sunday, September 29th, but while you're waiting check out John Lahr's profile of star Claire Danes in this week's New Yorker. (It's also available online.) Danes' breakout role as Angela Chase in the near-perfect one season wonder My So-Called Life when she was all of fourteen remains my favorite portrayal of a teenage girl on television-- and while Homeland isn't streamable anywhere on the internet, MSCL is in its entirety on Hulu.
