Bob Goldfarb has been president of the Center for Jewish Culture and Creativity, based in Los Angeles and Jerusalem, since 2007.  Before getting involved with the Jewish organizational world he was an executive and consultant in media and the arts.  A native of Hartford, Connecticut, he first came to Southern California in 1984 to be Chief Operating Officer of KUSC Radio.  He later became Vice-President for Programming at the former KFAC Radio, and returned to KUSC in 2000 as Director of Broadcasting and New Media.

His media experience extends to the recording industry and publishing as well. He has been Director of U.S. Operations for the classical label Teldec, then a unit of Time Warner, and General Manager of Conifer Records USA, now a part of Sony/BMG.  In addition, he served the American Composers Alliance as its executive director for five years.  He also Tweets a lot.

Bob has a lifelong interest in Jewish life, culture, and religion. He was the lay leader (gabbai) of a prayer minyan in Cambridge, Massachusetts, from 1976-78, and for over 30 years has led High Holiday services in Conservative and Orthodox congregations. He first became professionally engaged with Jewish culture and media as the producer and writer of the nationally broadcast 13-part radio series American Jewish Music from the Milken Archive with Leonard Nimoy. In 2007 he assumed the role of Publisher of the independent Jewish magazine Zeek and now serves as its vice-president. Since 2008 he has also been a regular book reviewer for Jewish Book World, and in 2009 became a regular writer for the website eJewishPhilanthropy.com as well.

In 2008 Bob relocated to Jerusalem to strengthen the Center for Jewish Culture and Creativity’s role as a link between Israeli culture and communities outside Israel.  An honors graduate of Harvard College with a degree in Government, Bob earned his MBA at Harvard Business School.
