Frank, Dean and Sammy back from the dead and live on stage

'The Rat Pack -- Live at the Sands' at the Wilshire

Whenever Sinatra introduced his close friend, who he nicknamed "Smoky," he did so with the praise, "Ladies and gentleman, the three biggest words in show business, Sammy Davis, Jr."

David Hayes could not agree more.

"Mr. D was my entertainment hero," Hayes said. "He was a very dedicated and very professional person and his abilities were way beyond anyone else's in my profession. He was the epitome of the consummate entertainer performer."

Hayes had the opportunity to witness this great talent up close and personal.

"I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. D. in 1986 in Atlantic City," Hayes recalled. "I would sneak in and watch him on stage at Harrah's. It was a great education. When you see a genius, the master himself, perform, you learn so much. I'm still in the developing stages, you never stop developing that character, every night it's just incredible. And I'm working with two of the greatest actors, performing Martin and Sinatra."

"The Rat Pack -- Live at the Sands" runs December 4-16 at The Wilshire Theatre Beverly Hills. Performances are Tuesday-Friday at 8:00pm, Saturday at 2pm & 8pm, and Sunday at 1:00pm & 6:30pm. Purchase tickets at the Wilshire Theatre box office or by phone at 213-365-3500 or 714-740-7878 or online at http://www.BroadwayLA.org.
