Details on White Supremacist Suspect [VIDEO]
More details are emerging about 88-year-old James W. Von Brunn, who allegedly opened fire Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. wounding a security guard before being shot in return fire. Brunn is a well-known figure in the White Supremacist world who has long been on the radar of organizations like the Anti-Defamation League, according to a statement from ADL.
Von Brunn’s rambling, anti-Semitic website, HolyWesternEmpire.org, sells “Kill the Best Gentiles,” his 2002 “hard-hitting exposé of the JEW CONSPIRACY to destroy the White gene-pool.” His bio claims that he served as a PT-Boat captain in WW II, and was an advertising executive and film producer in New York for 20 years. He claims to be a member of Mensa.
In 1983, Von Brunn was convicted of attempting to kidnap members of the Federal Reserve Board, according to a Washington Post report at the time. In 1981, he entered the Federal Reserve Board’s Washington headquarters carrying a bag containing a hunting knife, a revolver and a sawed-off shotgun. He was captured by a guard and then arrested after running to the second floor, where the meeting was being held. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
On his website, Von Brunn describes the incident: “In 1981, Von Brunn attempted to place the treasonous Federal Reserve Board of Governors under legal, non-violent, citizens arrest. He was tried in a Washington, D.C. Superior Court; convicted by a Negro jury, Jew/Negro attorneys, and sentenced to prison for eleven years by a Jew judge. A Jew/Negro/White Court of Appeals denied his appeal. He served 6.5 years in federal prison. (Read about von Brunn’s ‘Federal Reserve Caper.’) He is now an artist and author and lives on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.”
His writing provides an eye into his madness:
