Most residential rehabilitation houses do not have an affiliation with a Church or Synagogue.  Beit T’Shuvah (house of return) conducts Friday evening and Saturday morning services, complete with an ordained Rabbi, an extraordinary Cantor, a choir composed of residents and a congregation of parents, supporters, friends and devoted members, along with a band of talented musicians who create musical prayers as well as the playing of usual favorites.  They have a packed house every week.  It is participatory service where everyone joins in the welcoming of the Shabbos Bride.  People stand to give gratitude and everyone is encouraged to dance to the music of le chod dodee.

Torah study is mandatory during early, weekly, mornings for both Jews and non-Jews living and receiving treatment for a variety of addictive behaviors.  Day patients are also part of the programs.  It is a most spiritual and uplifting experience and my husband and I have rarely ever missed a Friday night service in the 14 plus years we have been Board Members.

We invite you to come and rejoice some Friday or Saturday.  Let us know you’re coming!
